Asunción Citicenter is on the fourth floor of the Edificio Citicenter, the most prestigious building in the leading commercial area of Villa Mora, on the eastern side of town, near the US Embassy. There has been massive development in Villa Mora, with malls, hotels and banks being built - both the construction and the financial services sectors are flourishing as the government has put in place measures to encourage foreign investment. All the key industries of Paraguay are focused on Asunción, including hydroelectric power production and distribution, and the manufacture of footwear, textiles, and food and drink products. The country has rich mineral wealth, especially cement, natural gas, oil, and iron, and a growing number of multinational exploration and mining businesses now have bases here. The area surrounding Asunción is mainly rich agricultural land devoted to production of many kinds of food and consumables, notably soya and tobacco.
